ABOUT FLEXWORK
FLEXWORK provides new normal accommodation and workation environments with the goal of workation (tourism) x vacant land utilization (nature) = regional revitalization. Utilizing abandoned farms and vacant land within the town and prefecture, and with investment from people in the Tokyo metropolitan area, construction and operation are 100% local businesses. In addition, as population decline and labor shortages are issues in rural areas, the facility has introduced a completely unmanned check-in/out system and implemented sustainable cleaning of rooms.

99% of Shibecha Town is a quiet area with abundant nature remaining.
SHIBECHA TOWN
A world of thousands of miles
While continuing to work as an office worker in Tokyo, we spent four years finding the ideal environment to provide new normal accommodation with the aim of regional revitalization. Construction of FLEXWORK tawa began with the cooperation of local volunteers, but we overcame various challenges, such as the struggle to raise funds, learning about the new inn business, the difficulty of operating heavy machinery for beginners, the difficulty of cutting down brushwood and mowing the vast pastures, and assistance with construction work to reduce costs... and opened in February 2023.
We will continue to work with like-minded Tokyo office workers and local volunteers to move the project forward with the second and third phases, building a new base in Shibecha town in an ideal environment with a magnificent view, and strive to welcome many guests from Japan and abroad who will be impressed by Shibecha's vitality and abundant nature.
